The questions we get asked most

Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. We can port almost any UK landline number from BT, Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin Media and other VoIP providers. You keep making and taking calls while the transfer completes — typically 10 to 14 working days.
What do I actually need to get started?
An internet connection and either our free softphone app or an IP desk phone. There’s no PBX hardware to buy, no wiring, and no engineer visit. If you’d rather keep a traditional corded phone, an analogue adapter bridges it to the service.
How is an extension different from a phone number?
An extension is a user or device that can make and receive calls — one per person or desk phone. A number (DID) is what the outside world dials. Most businesses have far fewer numbers than extensions: one main number routed to everybody.
What’s the difference between Talk and Flex?
Talk plans bundle inclusive UK minutes per extension, from £5 to £20 a month. Flex is pick-and-mix — £3 per extension plus only the features you add, such as ring groups, queues or an IVR — which usually works out cheaper for large extension counts or low call volumes.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No setup fee and no long-term contract. Everything is monthly rolling, so you can add or remove extensions, numbers and features as your team changes, and cancel whenever you like.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Calls fail over to a backup destination you choose — usually a mobile — so you don’t miss anything during a broadband outage or power cut. You can also answer on the softphone over mobile data.
How much do calls cost outside my inclusive minutes?
Calls beyond your bundle are charged per minute, and inbound calls to 0800 numbers are charged at 3p per minute. A full rate card with live per-destination pricing is on the way.
